watched Stomping Ground.

a love story. a going back home story. a Bigfoot story. a finding a finger and your friends engagement ring in the woods story. a big city boy saves the day story.
fast forward to January 30, 2020...I try to blog my movies so I don't rewatch....and in 2016 I watched a movie with the same title, but this one seems to be a DIFFERENT Stomping Ground? so, here goes....
Stomping Ground unfolds in real time as young South Philly buddies have to hide out after they commit a random act of violence. As the situation quickly spirals out of control, friendship is tested and dark secrets emerge. Shot guerrilla-style in 24 hours to create an intentionally lo-fi look that emphasizes story over production, the plot tightens like a noose, intensifies and never lets go. Genres Drama, Suspense Director David J. Greenberg Starring Ben Harter-Murphy, Micheal Niederer, Nick Reeves

this was really well done. I was almost believing the Sheriff's version of what happened.....pretty sure they're gonna have to up the surviving kid's depression meds....

Deb Dailey is watching Boggy Creek II: And the Legend Continues. Love 80s movies...feathered hair... guys in cut off jean shorts...

this dude and his cut off denim shorts (and habit of shedding his shirt at every opportunity....) just stole the damn show.

Finding Bigfoot The Game

A quick playing card game for two where Bigfoot and the clever Cryptozoologist attempt to outwit each other! Created by Game Salute

1987

Milton Bradley Bigfoot Game Bigfoot, he of the infamous giant footprints, scored his own board game in 1977. A scarce find today, it's one of my favorite monster themed games.

If this Bigfoot was meant to look friendly, the artist really missed the mark. He is clearly considering eating these children.
Players select pawns, which appear to be mountaineers, explorers, or possibly Bigfoot hunters.
The game track takes players through prime Bigfoot habitat, including snowy slopes and dense forests. A mining town, lumber mill, gold mine, and supply store appear to offer shelter.
The pawns are moved according to the roll of the dice, but if they land on a Bigfoot space, a subsequent roll moves the monster, a hefty plastic figure, along the track:
As Bigfoot crosses or lands on a pawn, he dispenses a disk, which may or may not bear a footprint. If the print appears, that pawn is out of the game. Last player left unstepped upon wins!
This is good.
This is bad. To learn more about Bigfoot, or possibly to report a sighting of your own, contact the Bigfoot Field Researchers Organization. (Oh yes: there really is one!)

the Bigfoot statue in the museum on the first floor of his house, which looks like a knickknack-filled great-grandmother’s house — that is, if your great-grandmother hung creepy ventriloquist dolls in the corner or collected shrunken heads from Ecuador. “You can’t have a paranormal museum,” his daughter, Holly, likes to say, “without shrunken heads.”

Barcelo is convinced that more tourism could make Littleton great again — and if Bigfoot is going to be the draw, the town should embrace it. Some local businesses have — the Cryptozoological and Paranormal Museum sells “Yeti” beer made by someone in town, as well as Littleton Bigfoot Blend coffee roasted locally. “Even if it’s silly, go for it!” he says, adding that he is mostly in the entertainment business, which means marketing the heck out of what he has to offer.
So it wasn’t at all surprising that Stephen Barcelo started doing ghost tours once he moved to Littleton, taking tourists to various old houses in town on any night he could assemble enough of them. “No one is doing what we do down here,” he says in his fast, faintly Long Island accent.“"Where else are you going to buy a ghost meter?”

watched a Monster Quest episode with the lodge at Snelgrove Lake....

The board with protruding screws was placed in front of the doorway of the cabin in 2003, in response to recurring entrance of and damage to the place by, presumably, a black bear. The cabin is in upper Ontario (no brown bears, although I would question whether or not a polar bear might show up now and then), 200 miles from the nearest town (which has 10,000 people). The board trick is apparently common up there as a way to deter bears from entering cabins, which are only accessible to people a few weeks out of the year.
...and here are some google images from typing in Snelgrove Lake....(giggle giggle)
