(remember, Marcy was worried about Bigfoot....) the boys are out playing at dusk, hear a loud guttural groan reverberating. they run to the house, Dad loads the gun. Joel looks out under the covers and whispers "those bullets look awfully small for Bigfoot."

they go to bed. there is deep growling from front porch. heavy rattle on the door. more deep angry growls. door shakes violently. silence for nearly an hour. finally after a deep growl there was a snarl and a yelp. It was Tissy & Bully (the dogs) fighting for space near the door.
